Welcome :: Blog by Melbourne Wedding Video Studio - Wheelhouse Studios

wheelhousestudios.com "We create unique, one of a kind films and photos from the ground up. We start by taking the time to get to know you, to understand who you are and where you’re coming from. It’s only then that we can create a story that not only reflects who you are but also takes your audience on a journey. Transporting them to a different time and place. It takes a keen eye and a steady hand to navigate these waters, and it all happens from the WHEELHOUSE." Thanks for visiting, please come again soon.

About Us :: Why are we Wedding Cinematographers and Photographers?

We are wedding cinematographer and photographers and we live to tell true heart stories.

Whilst each wedding has similarities it is the differences that are so interesting to us. What is it about your story and your wedding day that is unique to you? These details are often found in the small things....the way you look at your new husband as you say your vows, the fact that you hand crafted 152 individual bombonieres that when your band plays “Somethings Gotta Give” you and your husband danced crazily because it was the song that was always on the radio when you first met in the summer of 2005. The small things. These are the stories we tell.

Authentic Imagery
How do we know to capture these and weave them into your wedding film? By listening. By listening to you when we first meet, when you tell us what it is about your fiance that you find most loveable.  By listening to your mum on the day of the wedding tell me how you both stayed up all night to finish the bombonieres.  By asking you what your favourite songs are and why. These small details are the building blocks that make up  a story - a great story....your story.
  • We love being so in the moment on your wedding day that I am able to anticipate the next scene before it happens.
  • We love the unexpected bursts of love from a Dad that "never" cries.
  • We love the witnessing the pure joy that you experience with your first kiss during your ceremony.
  • We love watching the first dance that you have been practicing for a year because you " can't" dance and you nail it to the absolute delight and admiration of your close friends and family.
  • We love it how all your friends and family have come together to celebrate with you and how your best friend travelled for three days from across the other side of the world to be with you today.
  • We love hearing your Dad tell the story during his speech of how you were so special to him when you were first born and came into his life that he would have done anything in the world for you (and still would...).
  • We love it when your new husband tells you that his knees went weak and he could help but cry with joy and his cheeks still hurt from smiling so hard when he saw you walk down the aisle towards him just a few hours ago.
  • We love it when you come back after the wedding to our film premier and you laugh, cry and everything in between, as you are drawn so strongly back to the most amazing day of your whole life and tell me that "It's just like a real film!".
  • We love....well the list is endless. but most of all, we love being wedding cinematographers and Photographers.
